As the year comes to an end, many couples reflect on their journey together and plan for their future. What better way to welcome the new year than by tying the knot? Eloping on New Year's Eve or Day allows you to celebrate your love in an intimate and memorable way. With thoughtful planning, your special day can be both romantic and stress-free while marking the start of 2026 as a married couple.
Why Choose an Elopement?
Elopements have become increasingly popular, and for good reason. They allow you to focus on what is truly important: your love for each other. Unlike traditional weddings, which often involve extensive planning and large guest lists, elopements prioritize a personal and meaningful experience.
For example, you can choose a breathtaking outdoor spot, such as a snowy mountain backdrop or a serene beach at sunset. According to a survey by WeddingWire, 70% of couples who eloped said they felt more relaxed and present during their ceremony compared to a traditional wedding.
Elopements can also be more budget-friendly. A traditional wedding can cost upwards of $30,000, while elopements typically range from $2,000 to $10,000. This difference allows you to direct your funds toward creating a memorable experience—like indulging in a luxury honeymoon or splurging on unique photography. My elopement package is $300.
My fee includes:
· Consultation to discuss details and plan your special day
· Coordination services to make your special day go smoothly

Don’t forget the marriage license. Retainer can be made by Cashapp & Venmo and final payment in cash day of your ceremony.
The Magic of New Year's Eve and Day
New Year's Eve and Day radiate excitement and hope for a fresh start. Choosing to elope during this celebratory time provides a unique opportunity to enhance your love story. Picture exchanging vows as vibrant fireworks light up the night sky, a scene that captures the essence of love and new beginnings.
You could also incorporate holiday elements in your elopement ceremony. For example, choose a location that has festive decorations or throw a small gathering with friends and family afterward. This way, you can share your joyous news while embracing the celebratory spirit of the season.
Getting Your Marriage License
Before you can say "I do," obtaining a marriage license is essential. You can get your marriage license at any county clerk office in the state. The fee is about $100 on average. Be sure to bring all the documents you need to get the license. Confirm on any county's website.
Also, remember to check local marriage license bureau hours ahead of time, especially around the holidays, as they may have limited operation times. In Tennessee you can complete your application online, saving you time and making the process smoother.
Booking Your Appointment
Once you have your marriage license, you can schedule your elopement. Call me (615) 477-5082 and book a time slot. Hours are 9 am until 8 pm.
Decorated Spot Included in the Fee
One significant advantage of elopement packages is that I offer a beautifully decorated spot for your ceremony. This lets you focus on each other instead of stressing about details.

Personalizing Your Elopement
Even though elopements are often simpler than traditional weddings, they can still reflect your personal style.
Writing your own vows can make the ceremony even more touching. Let's create cherished memories you will hold onto for a lifetime.
Celebrating with Loved Ones
After your elopement, you may want to host a gathering with family and friends to celebrate your marriage by welcoming the new year at a local restrurant or having a gathering a your home. Whether it's a simple dinner party or a lively gathering, this is a chance to share your joy and create lasting memories.
Capturing the Moment
Don’t forget to document your special day! Hiring a professional photographer, preferably one who specializes in elopements, can ensure that the magic of your unique day is preserved. OR, I can take photos with your cell phone.
